Freshwater and Freshwater Bay is a sweeping bay on the south west part of the Island offers spectacular scenery with chalk cliffs leading to Downs which are a walkers and hikers paradise. Tennyson Down named after Alfred Lord Tennyson who lived close by is an undulating walk towards the Needles and Stack where on clear days views of the southern English coast line can be enjoyed.
