Hope beach is the main beach area fronting Shanklin esplanade where can be found a number of Hotels, Pubs, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, Beach Kiosks, Amusement Arcades supplying everything needed for a vacation by the beach.

High Street & Regent Street are the main shopping areas where a good variety of supermarkets, shops, Fashion boutiques, Florists,  Pubs Grocers, Cafes, and Restaurants & can be found.

Shanklin Old Town is to the west of Shackling having a picture post card feel with white washed thatched buildings nestling beside a twisting road where can be found antique shops mixing with Art Galleries, Gift and Souvenir Shops, Restaurants, Pubs, Cafes and quaint Tea Gardens.

Shanklin Chine leading off from Shanklin Old Town is a picturesque gorge leading to the shore steeped in history once used by smugglers in bygone years to bring illicit contraband into the village.


Shanklin has a wide & varied selection of Hotels, Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfasts in various locations, some with beach front positions, while others can be found in the old village or on the cliff tops with panoramic views.
