Ferries to the Isle of Wight

Before you start your holiday or planned visit to the Island you will need to book a ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight via one of the operators listed below. During peak times and the summer months you are advised to book early as the ferries to the isle of wight very quickly get booked.

If you are planning coming for the Isle of Wight Bestival this September or the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally at the August Bank Holiday weekend you need to book early to get the best deals.

The "Original Isle of Wight Ferries" the car and passenger ferries connect Southampton to

Wightlink

Car and passenger ferries sail the
Portsmouth-Fishbourne and Lymington-Yarmouth  routes in around 40 minutes.

A high-speed, passengers-only catamaran service operates between
Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde Pier in around 15 minutes.

Hovertravel

Hovercrafts carry  passengers-only from Southsea (Portsmouth)
to Ryde in 8 minutes..  the fastest crossing to the island a great experiance

Southern Vectis

We run the local buses on the Isle of Wight. Our routes connect most
parts of the island to all major towns. Buses are frequent with some
routes running through the night. Our latest buses have full air-conditioning
and plenty of space inside.

Island Line Trains

Island Line Trains operate the eight and a half miles of passenger railway
on the Isle of Wight, serving the Island towns of Ryde Brading, Sandown,
Lake and Shanklin.

 

Solent Cruises

Take to the water with Solent Cruises and see sights such as the Needles
or take our cheap day Shopping to Postsmouth and enjoy up to 6 hours
visiting the City Centre and Gunwharf Quays.
