With Mothering Sunday (3 April) fast approaching you might still be considering how you are going to spoil your mum this Mothers Day, whether you are planning a day out with the family or a special gift for your mum Activ Isle of Wight may have the answer.

After presenting your mum with her lovely surprise, treat her to a mother's day Sunday lunch at one of the many Isle of Wight Restaurants, pub's or bars that are offering mother's days specials. This could be a Seafood restaurant located by the waters edge serving local sea food specialities or a traditional country pub/restaurant offering freshly sourced Island fare in a beautiful village setting. The Taverners in Godshill is a very firm favourite where proprietor chef Roger will rustle up a sunday lunch your mother will remember for a long time.  Maybe you would prefer one of the Islands trendy bars who offer that something a little different like Olivo's Restaurant in Ryde where their tapas tower is a must to try.

For those who prefer something a little lighter try a Mother's day High Tea at one the Isle of Wight Hotels or Tea rooms, some are offering a special mothering sunday light menu which can be served inside or sitting out in a pretty country garden (weather permitting).

For the musical mum how about some Jazz at the Dairyman’s Daughter listening to some old favourites while dinning, this pub is situated in the Arreton Old Village centre that includes craft shops a glass studio & a shipwreck museum for mum to browse around.
Alternatively the Spy Glass Inn in Ventnor offers Harry Verey playing a classical guitar while mum enjoys her favourite sea food dishes whilst taking in pleasant views over Ventnor Bay and relaxing to Harry’s musical renditions.

The Isle of Wight has a very lively music scene with well know local bands playing Live gigs in various venues across the Island many will be performing Live on Mothering Sunday.

If your mum loves wildlife why not take your animal crazy mum to the Seaview Wildlife Encounter near Ryde who are offering the perfect gift for her, that includes a personal tour of the park focussing on close-up time with her favourite animals, lunch with champagne and flowers and a photograph to commemorate your mother's special day.
