Christmas Festive Tours at Royal Osborne
Enjoy a great post-Christmas day out at Royal Osborne and take a guided tour to find out how festive season was marked - above and below stairs - at Queen Victoria's favourite home, beautifully dressed in the seasonal style she loved.  The queen spent almost every Christmas at Osborne following Prince Albert's death in 1861, until her last Christmas in 1900 - she died at Osborne soon afterwards on 22 January 1901.

Tours last around an hour and take in the ground floor rooms, where some of the personal presents given to Queen Victoria will also be on display.

Complete your day out with a stroll on Osborne's terraces, coffee, lunch or tea in the waiter-service Terrace Restaurant and enjoy the exhibition, shop and café in the Petty Officers Quarter's.

From 10am to 4pm Mon 27, Tue 28, Wed 29, Thurs 30, Fri 31 Dec and Sun 2 Jan 2011 (closed 1 January 2011).  Normal admission prices apply for the tours; £10.90 for adults, £9.30 for concessions and £5.50 for children.

Booking is recommended - call 01983 200022 for more information or visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/osbornehouse.
