St Helens Village GreenSt Helens found on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight boasts to having the second largest green in England.

This quintessential village green which is split into 3 is home to both a local football & cricket team as well as hosting a Car Boot Sale every Sunday during the summer on the lower green.

St Helens Village Green is the heart of village life being surrounded by shops, a cafe, Service Stationrestaurants and the newly opened Dans Kitchen and facing the green are some very well presented properties many of which are used as Self Catering Holiday Accommodation.

In the summer there are a range of activities including  St Helens Carnival and a fair on the upper green, or you may just prefer to sit and watch the comings and goings with a refreshing pint at the Vine Inn

St Helens Old Mill Holiday Park overlooking the harbour has lovely views & a great selection of caravans, log cabins & apartments on offer for a caravan holiday with a difference.

St Helens is situated at the entrance to Bembridge harbour where the remains of the Old St Helens Church can be found next to the beach, the stones of the church are famous for being used to clean ships decks hence the saying "holystones". It is believed this was Admiral Lord Nelson's last view of England when the HMS Victory stopped to collect fresh water off St Helens on the way to Trafalgar.

St Helens also has a harbour known as Port St Helens which is a part of the larger Bembridge harbour and is a very popular stopping off point for visiting leisure craft, which happily moor alongside the local fishermen and stop to watch them unload their daily catch.

Take a beautiful walk along the mill wall causeway from Port St Helens to a beach area known as St Helens Duver, where the renowned Bay Watch on the Beach restaurant and cafe can provide you with a refreshing drink and local fare.
